This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected from all members to help uphold the Society’s mission, vision, and values.

Our Mission: The Yellowknife Women’s Society supports people to live in safety with dignity, purpose, and connection by providing shelter, housing, and other practical assistance.

Our Vision: A caring community where all people can live safely, with purpose and dignity.

Our Values: We believe in the inherent worth of every person. Everyone has the right to be heard and to participate in decisions that affect them. YKWS provides programs and services that meet people where they are, supporting their right to make their own choices without judgment, as long as those choices do not harm others.

2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

THURS. NOVEMBER 20 AT 6:30PM

The YKWS acknowledges we are located in Chief Drygeese territory. From time immemorial, it has been the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of all Indigenous Peoples including the North Slave Métis, and all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community.
