COMMON GROUND

Common Ground is a temporary employment service designed to provide work opportunities to individuals who are experiencing homelessness, substance use issues and/or underemployment.

FAMILIES

The Centre for Northern Families (CNF) Daycare provides childcare through full- and part-time registered user-pay spaces, user-pay drop-in space, and free respite spaces.

 

HOUSING

The Yellowknife Housing First Program supports chronically homeless adult individuals to access, maintain and retain private market housing, providing a number of supports to assist participants to transition into housing and access the services they need.

STREET OUTREACH

The Street Outreach Van operates from 10 am to 10 pm each day.

SPRUCE BOUGH

Spruce Bough offers permanent supportive housing to some of the the most vulnerable Yellowknife community members.

 

Differing from transitional housing, this program offers a long-term solution for people with complex needs who cannot live independently for a variety of reasons.

WOMEN'S CENTRE

The Yellowknife Women’s Society provides shelter for women experiencing homelessness with 15 single-room occupancy rental units, one private emergency room, and 8 rental units in the basement to serve as a transitional living space.

 

The Women’s Centre also houses a weekly walk-in clinic, and food hamper program.
